Prep time : 15 mins, Bake time : 20 mins (depends on your oven), Makes : 12-13 medium-sized brownies.

Ingredients needed for Eggless Multigrain Choco Chip Brownies:

Dry ingredients:

  • ¾ cup Wholewheat flour
  • ¾ cup All purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Ragi flour (finger millet flour)
  • ⅓ cup Cocoa powder (or approx 3 TBSP)
  • 4 tablespoon Coarse Almond meal
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon powder (opt. but recommended)
  • ½ tablespoon Baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon Salt

Wet ingredients:

  • ⅓ cup Butter
  • ⅓ cup Olive oil (any neutral oil)
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Choco chips (I used a combo of semi sweet and dark)
  • 2 tablespoon Mango Jam
  • ⅔ cup yoghurt(homemade curd- lightly beaten)
  • ¼ cup Milk

How to make Multigrain Eggless Brownies:

  1. Sieve all dry ingredient ,except almond meal and choco chips, twice over. Keep aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all wet ingredients leaving aside a handful of chocochips for topping.
  3. Preheat oven to 170 deg C. Grease and line a square baking dish (I lined it with parchment)
  4. Mix the wet to the dry ingredients, dont over mix. 
  5. Gently fold in mixture to a greased and lined baking pan. 
  6. Top with almond meal and remaining chocochips. 
  7. Bake for 20-22 mins (check at 18th min) till done. 
  8. Cool on a wire rack and cut into slices. Keeps for 4-5 days under refrigeration.

Ingredients

    We love brownies and this multigrain version sounds a great option. I love the added ango jam. Yet to try with jam and this is going to be on the menu soon.
